Polished in Pink

Hey guys!

Im so excited to finally share this look from last week. The weather has been so gorgeous lately, all I want to do is spend all of my time at the park. I thankfully was able to go to Central Park this past weekend and I was in pure bliss. As someone whose closet is made up of about 99% skirts, I am ecstatic for Spring to arrive and STAY. This outfit is more of a polished look but can definitely be worn casually or out depending on how you like to present yourself.

This skirt is one of my favorite skirts (Sorry it's super wrinkly, I didn't have time to iron it). I got it from The Limited a year or so ago, which is sadly closed. Similar items could definitely be found at any Ann Taylor, Loft, or J.Crew stores though if you like this beading style. I love that this skirt does have the beading because then I can wear a simpler top and let the skirt do the talking!

This lace ruffled blouse is one of my new favorites and was quite the steal! I love thrift shopping in general, but thrifting in NYC is a whole other world. I found this blouse at Goodwill in perfect condition, for only $10! And it's from the Loft, one of my favorite brands. You can always find a great assortment of brands at thrift stores such as Goodwill, Salvation Army, and even Buffalo Exchange (Midtown Manhattan). Anyways, I loved this blouse because it's simple and can be dressed up or down. Versatility is key when buying any garments, new or used.

AHHH these shoes though! I am still amazed at how great of a deal I got these cute metallic heels at. I was recently at Anthropologie working on a project for one of my classes when I decided to just go "check" (yeah, ok) the sale section. These heels were originally retailed at around $150 and after a bunch of markdowns along with a promotion, I paid only $20!!! They're super comfortable and I even grabbed another pair that were nude. I love these because I love having metallic accents in my looks, so this was perfect.

I hope you all enjoyed this look as much as I did! Remember to check out your local thrift stores - there are ALWAYS hidden gems. And remember that sometimes it's worth waiting 'til the end of the season to find the best of pieces for the best deals. Most times pieces will transition into the next season in some form or another, so you're never at a loss with end of the season sales.

Until next time,

Morgan Wynne
